This 1,000 square foot Visitors Center revealed the geological events that created the lake and highlighted the ongoing research and preservation of the area. Artifacts from the Park’s and local Universities’ collections were used to illustrate the long history of human habitation in the area as well as the dynamic landscape. The project team consisted
of Park staff, local scholars, scientists and management from Harpers Ferry Center.
