These interpretive panels and a wayfinding system were developed in preparation for the bicentennial of Lewis and Clark’s exploration of the western territories. The interpretive panels describe the trip to the Pacific, how the Corps of Discovery spent the winter and their interactions with the native people in the region. The wayfinding system was developed in conjunction with the local transit system, transportation specialists and park staff to guide visitors to the park from areas throughout the region.
